Getting our kicks
It appears that V2 is a bit like Schrodinger’s Cat. The more closely we try and observe this little one, the less information we get about her. Like today…when under the scrutiny of multiple “ultra” machines, she freezes, as if somebody had just announced “Red Light”…and of course the moment the Doctor leaves, or makes an adjustment, or even looks away, she’s all “Green Light” and movin’ around.
Every once in a while the Docs like to do “Non-Stress Tests” which check the heart noises and to track the number of kicks, elbows, or “slow burns” that the baby is doing. If the beats are off, or the babies moving a lot less, it can be an indicator that the baby is not doing well.
In this case I think she knows that we are checking her out, and she’s not impressed. She may be toying with us.
K thinks it’s because we haven’t decided on a name.
Guess I know what I’ll be doing the rest of the night tonight.
