Due Date Plus Six
No word, no changes, no updates. Just me, K, her folks, and G (who is asleep as I write this) sitting around waiting for something to happen.
To me it feels a lot like we’re stuck someplace between the movie Groundhogs Day…(except it’s hot out, and we don’t get to live the same day over and over again, and none of us is really learning how to do amazing things in the span of 24 hours.) and Christmas Eve Day (except the news people on the radio announce that Christmas has been delayed for two days…again…because of some sort of ecclesiastical dispute hasn’t been cleared up on when exactly Jesus was born, so the only thing to do is to hope that it get resolved as soon as possible, so we can finally be finished with listening to ‘Silent Night’ every time we leave the house).
We know that a awesome, beautiful surprise is coming, (and it will!) we just don’t know exactly when. And it’s probably not tonight, and tomorrow seems sketchy also.
So, due date plus six…and counting…
